Private Lessons

Silvermine School of Art offers private lessons or workshops for small groups. Work one-on-one with one of our professional instructors. Private lessons can be scheduled around your availability. In addition, arrangements can be made for corporate team building sessions, a night out with a group of friends, teacher’s enrichment day or a course for home-schooled children.

Virtual Art Birthday Parties

Virtual birthday parties take place via the ZOOM platform.
You do not need to put your birthday party plans on hold – digital birthday parties with Silvermine School of Art bring the fun and artistic expertise that Silvermine is known for into the comfort of your home! Parties take place over Zoom with one of our esteemed instructors leading an art project of your child’s choosing. Children can choose from the options listed below and can be customized to your child’s interest.

WE OFFER SEVERAL OPTIONS FOR YOUR PARTY, CATERED TO THE BIRTHDAY PERSON’S INTEREST!

Ages: 4 – 8

  • Paintings Party with Tempera Paint.
    Themes include Favorite Animal, Character from Book, TV or Movie, Landscape (realistic or fantasy)
  • Mixed Media Painting Project (a mix of painting and collage)
    Themes include Favorite Animal, Character, Doll, etc.
  • Paint Marbling
  • Sculpting with Model Magic
    Themes include Favorite Animal, Character, Doll, etc.
  • Tin Can Wind Stocks
  • Bubble Painting

Ages: 8 – 13

  • Mono-Printing Without a Press
    Patterns, abstraction, landscapes, people, nature, background for collage, etc.
  • Paintings Party in Acrylic or Watercolor
    Themes include Favorite Animal, Character from Book, TV or movie, Landscape (realistic or fantasy), Pattern Tape project (just acrylic)
  • Mixed Media Painting Project (a mix of painting and collage)
    Themes include Favorite animal, character, doll, etc.

Virtual Birthday Parties are 1 to 1,5 hours in length and include an Experienced Art Instructur

Pricing:

  • 1 hr. $150 for up to 10 participants
  • 1.5 hr. $225 for up to 10 participants
  • $15 for each additional child
  • Maximum number of participants 15

Supplies:

  • $15 to $25 per participant depending on the project.

Silvermine can order the supplies and have them ready for you to pick up before the party.

You have the option to purchase the art supplies yourself from an art supplies store or website. We would provide you with a supply list for each participant. Parents will be responsible for distributing the art supplies to the party participants.

Terms and Conditions:

To help ensure the best possible experience, we ask that you to adhere to the following:

  • All participants must have access to computer, tablet, or smartphone with Internet access.
  • Silvermine School of Art must be given an exact head count for the party 24 hours before the party.
  • A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at the time of booking to secure your date. The balance is due 24 hours before party.
  • Cancellations will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

In-Person Parties (currently unavailable due to COVID-19)

Celebrate at Silvermine School of Art
Have a unique and memorable art party for your child! Children ages 3 to 15 can experience the arts in an actual art studio. Choose from a variety of art projects and themes to have your child and their friends create a one-of-a-kind piece of art in a safe, fun, and educational environment. Projects are designed to accommodate individual interests.

A Silvermine instructor teaches parties for one and a half hours, leaving time for refreshments. Parties can be held in one of our spacious studios, ceramic or print studios. For more information, please call the School Office at 203.966.6668, ext. 13, or email schooladmin@silvermineart.org.

One-Hour Art Party $400 Up to 12 children* – all materials
One-and-a-Half-Hour Art Party $450 Up to 12 children* – all materials
Two-Hour Art Party $500 Up to 12 children* – all materials
Additional Half-Hour for Refreshments $50 Refreshments supplied by parents

*There is a $25 fee for each additional child.

Rules of the Party

Parent/Guardian MUST:

  • Be present for the full duration of the party.
  • Provide and arrange the setup and cleanup of all refreshments.
  • Make sure all children are picked up prior to leaving.
