Lynda James Carroll

My undergraduate degree is from Johnson College in Vermont, also home to The Vermont Studio Center. I spent a semester in France studying Art History and Fine Art. My Masters Degree is in Administration and Supervision in the Arts from Parsons School of Design and Bank Street College of Education in New York. I also studied Architecture at the University of Maryland and Columbia University culminating in a certificate in Landscape Design from the New York Botanical Gardens, and studied at the Chicago Art Institute and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School. I spent 40 years teaching Art related subjects to all levels of students from Kindergarten to Adults, primarily in the high school level in the Wilton and Greenwich Public Schools and also at Parsons School of Design before coming to Silvermine. As the K-12 Art and Music Lead Teacher in Greenwich I also managed Music and Theater Departments. I was the Associate Curator of Education at the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art in Ridgefield, CT and was the President of the Loft Artists Association for a number of years while a long-term practicing member.
