Jennifer Reid

Jennifer Reid is a ceramic sculptor and educator. She received an MFA from the State University of New York at New Paltz and a BFA from The University of North Carolina at Asheville. Jennifer splits her time between working in her home studio in Southbury, CT and teaching Art at Fraser Woods Montessori School and Silvermine Arts Center. Her work has been exhibited at a number of venues such as The Clay Studio Philadelphia, ASU Art Museum Ceramics Research Center, The Clay Center of New Orleans, The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art, Williamsburg Art & Historical Center, Guilford Art Center, S. Tucker Cooke Gallery, Silvermine Galleries, and the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art. Jennifer’s work has been published in The Brooklyn Rail, UNC Asheville Journal of Undergraduate Research, Headwaters Creative Arts Magazine, and The Sojourner Truth Library MFA Thesis Collection. She is currently a member of the Silvermine Guild of Artists. Jennifer’s work is rooted in the study of both the vessel form and the architecture of flowers.
