Gwen North Reiss

Gwen North Reiss has published poetry in Rhino, Truck, Connecticut Review, Dogwood, and other literary magazines. She is the author of a chapbook,Notes on Metalsand of Paper Aperture, a group of poems published by Pen and Brush in New York as part of their e-publication platform. “Paper Aperture” won a Connecticut Press Club Award and went on to win a national first place award for a chapbook/group of poems from the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW).  She was the recipient of the 2012 Rachel Wetzsteon Prize at the 92nd Street Y’s Unterberg Poetry Center for her poem “Illuminated.” Reiss has a degree in Combined Literature (English and French) from Yale and was in book publishing for ten years before becoming a poet and freelance writer on architecture. She works as an Educator at the Glass House and as a communications consultant for Silvermine.
